[Accredited as Ambassador to Finland on 28 April 2022 and to Estonia on 29 April 2022]

 

Born 1973, in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Read Law at the University of Bristol (UK). Holds a postgraduate diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy from the University of Malta.  

Joined the Foreign Service of the Republic of Cyprus in November 1999.

Prior to assuming office in Helsinki, served as Director of the Ofiice of the Minister of Foreign Affairs (8/2019 - 1/2022) and Spokesperon for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (9/2018-1/2022).

Previously served in Cyprus Missions abroad, in the following postings:

 

2000-2002 Second Secretary/Consul, Embassy of Cyprus in Helsinki, Finland
   
2003-2007 Consul General, Consulate General of Cyprus in Saint Petersburg, Russia
   
2007-2009 Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg, France
   
2011-2014 Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d’ affaires ad interim, Cyprus Embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark
   
2014-2018 Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of Cyprus to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organisations in Switzerland

 

In between postings abroad, held positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nicosia as desk officer for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the Political Division – Bilateral Affairs (1999-2000), as liaison officer in relation to Cyprus Question affairs at the Minister’s Office (2002-2003), and as Deputy Director of the Schengen and Consular Affairs Division (2009-10).

Apart from Greek (mother-tongue), speaks English and Russian.

Married, with two children.
