Press release on the visit of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Helsinki
The Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Kornelios Korneliou, is traveling today, Tuesday, September 6, to Helsinki for a working visit.
During his visit to the Finnish capital, Mr. Korneliou will hold consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland with his Finnish counterpart, Mr. Jukka Salovaara, in the presence of official delegations from the two countries' Foreign Ministries.
The political consultations are expected to focus, among other issues, on bilateral relations and the prospect of their further deepening, the developments in Ukraine and EU's coordinated response, the way our side perceives the next steps in the Cyprus issue as well as other regional and international issues of common interest. Messrs. Korneliou and Salovaara will also exchange views on issues related to the European agenda, such as climate change, the "Fit for 55" initiative for the green transition, and the European Political Community.
