Press release regarding the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon in Cyprus
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, Mr. Abdallah Bou Habib, will pay an official visit to Cyprus tomorrow, Friday.
During the visit, he will have a tete-a-tete meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, followed by extended consultations with the participation of delegations of the two Ministries. Upon conclusion of the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to media representatives (at 12:45). Afterwards, Messrs. Kasoulides and Bou Habib will attend a working lunch in the presence of the Cyprus-Lebanon delegations.
The two ministers are expected to focus on bilateral relations and prospects for their further strengthening in a wide range of areas, developments in the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean and the wider Middle East, and the situation in Ukraine in view of the ongoing Russian invasion, EU-Lebanon relations, as well as other current regional and international issues of common interest.
During his presence in Cyprus, the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Abdallah Bou Habib, will be received by the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Anastasiades, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ms. Annita Demetriou.
