MFA Announcement concerning Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine
Given the deterioration of the situation in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to suspend the operation of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Kyiv.
All Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine are advised to stay in their homes or in safe shelters and/or other safe spaces, until the situation is reevaluated and their safe movement is possible.
Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine are also advised to stay in touch with the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, if they have not done so yet, to notify of their presence in the country and their intentions Furthermore, they are advised to provide their contact details through registration on the online platform Connect2CY.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is contacting Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine who have already provided their contact details on the connect2cy platform and/or are on the lists of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Kyiv, to confirm their personal safety and provide guidance.
