12 Nov. 2021 - FM Christodoulides heads from Paris to Dubai to take part in Sir Bani Yas Forum - visit also to Expo 2020 foreseen



Press release regarding the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Dubai for participation in the 12th Sir Bani Yas Forum

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, heads tonight from Paris, where he was accompanying the President of the Republic, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, at the Conference on Libya, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where he is due to participate at the 12th Sir Bani Yas Forum, upon invitation from the his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan .

The Forum, organized annually by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates to discuss issues pertaining to security and stability in the broader Middle East and Gulf region, has established itself as an important platform for exchange of views and dialogue. Serving and former Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers and other state officials from around the globe, as well as leading experts and analysts on international relations and foreign affairs, are amongst those invited to attend.

During his stay in Dubai, Mr. Christodoulides will on Saturday morning visit Expo 2020, which opened its gates to the public on 20th October, where he will have the opportunity to also visit the Cyprus pavilion.

From Dubai, Minister Christodoulides will then head to Brussels on Sunday evening (14/11), where on  Monday he is due to participate in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union.
