Press release regarding the deliberations that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have in the evening, in Limassol, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, will have tonight (8/11), in Limassol, a tete-a-tete meeting and deliberations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who visits Cyprus reciprocating Mr. Christodoulides' visit to Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the year.

The talks between the two Ministers are expected to focus on, inter alia, the next steps in the enhancement of Cyprus-UAE bilateral relations and the preparation of the visit by President Anastasiades to the United Arab Emirates early in the new year, developments in the broader region of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Gulf, the joint effort and concrete actions of the two countries aimed at strengthening and further expanding regional cooperation and security, the Cyprus problem and Turkey's illegal activities in the fenced area of Varosha and in the EEZ of Cyprus, regional and international issues of common interest, as well as EU-UAE relations.

Following their deliberations, Ministers Christodoulides and Bin Zayed will attend a working dinner.
