Press release regarding the meetings that Foreign Minister Christodoulides will have in New York on the sidelines of the High Level Week of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, is due to hold a series of meetings with counterparts and heads of international organizations throughout the week, on the sidelines of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, where he is accompanying the President of the Republic, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades.
The Foreign Minister will attend a ceremony later today to honor the CEO of the American-Jewish Committee (AJC), Mr. David Harris, whilst earlier he will hold a meeting with a delegation from the leadership of the Committee, during which issues of common interest will be discussed and the Minister, on his part, will have the opportunity to brief also on the latest developments in the Cyprus problem.
In the evening, Mr. Christodoulides will attend a dinner hosted by the Federation of Cypriot Organizations of America.
Tomorrow, Monday (20/9), the Foreign Minister will hold separate bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Egypt, Greece, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan, and will participate in an informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union Member States. He will also attend the meeting of the President of the Republic with the American-Jewish organization AIPAC, as well as the press conference of the President of the Republic.
