21 Αpr. 2021 - New Ambassador of Cyprus to Bolivia, Evagoras Vryonides, presents his Letters of Credence to President Luis Arce in official ceremony in La Pas



The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, resident in Brasilia, Mr. Evagoras Vryonides presented his Credentials to the President of the country Luis Arce, in an official ceremony held at the Grand House of the People (Casa Grande del Pueblo) in La Paz, on 19 April.

Ambassador Vryonides conveyed the personal wishes and greetings of President Anastasiades, along with appreciation for the country's participation in UNFICYP. The Ambassador also briefed President Arce on issues pertaining to the broader region of the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as on the upcoming informal conference on the Cyprus Problem convened by the UN Secretary General, to take place in Geneva.

President Arce asked the Ambassador to convey his personal greetings to President Anastasiades and expressed the wish that the bonds of friendship between the two peoples will continue to strengthen for their mutual benefit. He also expressed willingness for cooperation in the field of culture between Cyprus and Bolivia, and for mutual support of candidacies in international fora.

In a meeting that followed between the Ambassador and the Director-General of Bilateral Relations, it was decided that relations between the two countries should be strengthened through the establishment of a framework for political consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
