Press Release regarding the Foreign Minister's trip to Amman tomorrow for the 4th Trilateral Ministerial Meeting between Cyprus, Greece and Jordan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, travels to Amman tomorrow morning to take part in the 4th trilateral ministerial meeting with his counterparts from Greece, Mr. Nikos Dendias, and Jordan, Mr. Ayman Al Safadi.

The meeting is expected to focus on the preparation of the next Summit of the Leaders of the three countries, as well as on the discussion of concrete ways for further strengthening the already advanced cooperation in this framework, including through commencement of the operation in the very near future of a Permanent Secretariat for the trilateral mechanism, in Nicosia.

Developments in the broader Eastern Mediterranean region in light of ongoing Turkish provocations, the Cyprus problem, developments in the Middle East, including the Middle East peace process and the situation in Syria, as well as in Libya, EU - Jordan relations, and other regional and international issues of common interest, will also be discussed.

At the end of their deliberations, the Ministers will deliver statements to the Press (at 12.45).
