25 May 2024 - The Minister of Foreign Affairs travels to Brussels

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Constantinos Kombos, is travelling tomorrow, Sunday 26 May 2024, to Brussels in order to participate on Monday 27 May, at the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers will discuss the situation in the Middle East. In this context, they will hold an informal exchange of views with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.

The Ministers will also exchange views on the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. They will also review current affairs, focusing on the latest developments in Venezuela as well as the situation in Georgia and Haiti.

Following the Foreign Affairs Council, Minister Kombos will attend the 8th Brussels Conference "Supporting the future of Syria and the wider region".

On the sidelines of the meetings, Minister Kombos will hold contacts with his counterparts and other officials.
