13 October 2023 - The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in the Republic of Moldova presented his credentials
The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Moldova, Mr Marios Kountourides, presented his credentials to the President of Moldova Ms Maia Sandu, in an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace on 15 September 2023.
In a meeting that followed the credentials ceremony, Ambassador Kountourides conveyed the warm greetings of the President of the Republic Mr Nikos Christodoulides to President Sandu. He also conveyed an invitation for an official visit of the Moldovan official to Cyprus. For her part, President Sandu extended an invitation to President Christodoulides to visit Moldova soon.
During the meeting, the friendly relations between the two countries were reaffirmed, as well as the commitment to further strengthen and deepen the bilateral cooperation. Ambassador Kountourides had the opportunity to brief President Sandu on the latest developments regarding the Cyprus question and President Christodoulides’ initiative for the resumption of the negotiations.------------------------Friday, 13 October 2023
