Visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan to Cyprus
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Mr Ayman Safadi will pay a working visit to Cyprus tomorrow, Wednesday 26 April.
Mr Safadi will have a tete-a-tete meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Constantinos Kombos, followed by extended consultations with the participation of official delegations from the two countries. At the conclusion of the consultations, the two Ministers will make short statements to the press.
Discussions will focus on the already excellent bilateral relations between Cyprus and Jordan, and the prospect of developing and deepening them further in a variety of areas. Ministers will also exchange views regarding the cooperation in the context of the Cyprus-Greece-Jordan Trilateral Cooperation Mechanism, as well as on regional developments. Dr Kombos will have the opportunity to brief his Jordanian counterpart on the current efforts to restart the negotiations for the reunification of Cyprus, as well as other issues relating to the Cyprus question.
During his visit, the Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mr Safadi will be received by the President of the Republic Mr Nikos Christodoulides.
