The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Russian Federation, Dr. Kypros Giorgallis presented yesterday, September 20, 2022, his Letters of Credence to the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin.
During his speech to the Ambassadors Designate, President Putin referred to the relations between Russia and Cyprus and their cultural and spiritual commonality which is underpinned by the traditions of friendship between our peoples. The Russian Federation has been and continues to be in favor of a comprehensive, just and viable settlement of the Cyprus problem on the basis of UN Security Council resolutions.
