Press Release on the Foreign Minister's Working Visit to the United Arab Emirates
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, is leaving tonight for the United Arab Emirates where he will pay a working visit.
During his visit, Mr. Kasoulides will meet on Thursday, June 30, with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Discussions between the two Ministers are expected to focus on bilateral relations and the prospect of further deepening cooperation in a wide range of areas such as the economy, trade, tourism and investments, the EU-UAE relations, the Cyprus Problem, as well as other current regional issues of common interest.
During his visit to Abu Dhabi, the Foreign Minister will be received by the Speaker of the Parliament of the country, Saqr Ghobash, and will hold contacts with officials of the Emirati Government.
Mr. Kasoulides will return to Cyprus on Friday, July 1st.
