Solon Savva is the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Sweden following the presentation of his Letters of Credence to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden
The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Sweden, Mr. Solon Savva, presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, at a ceremony held yesterday at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
During the private audience that followed, Ambassador Savva conveyed to the King the cordial greetings of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades and expressed his readiness and commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relations and to cooperate even closer in addressing common challenges.
The King of Sweden referred to the excellent relations between the two countries, which date back centuries, and emphasized in particular the importance of the Swedish Cyprus Expedition during the period of 1927-1931 and the imperative need to respect and protect the cultural heritage of all countries.
