MFA Announcement concerning Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine

Following relevant announcements regarding the ongoing deterioration of the situation in Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls all Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine to remain in their homes, or safe shelter and/or other safe spaces, until the situation is reevaluated to ensure their evacuation.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Kyiv continues to operate in order to provide guidance and consular assistance. Moreover, arrangements have been made with the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Kyiv so that, once the conditions allow, those who wish may leave the country in an organized and secure way.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to advise all Cypriot citizens still in Ukraine to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Kyiv, if they have not done so yet, to notify of their presence in the country and their intentions Furthermore, they are advised to provide their contact details through registration on the online platform Connect2CY.

The Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (operating hours are provided below) operates as an additional reliable means of communication, provision of guidance and consular assistance, if necessary, to those Cypriot citizens directly affected by the situation in Ukraine.
