Press Release regarding the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides to Athens

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, travels tonight to Athens on official visit, the first after his recent assumption of office.

During the visit, Mr. Kasoulides will hold a tete-a-tete meeting with his Greek counterpart, Mr. Nikos Dendias, while extended consultations will follow in the presence of official delegations from the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. At the end of the consultations, the two Ministers will deliver statements to the press.

Discussions between Ministers Kasoulides and Dendias are expected to focus inter alia on bilateral relations and their further deepening in a wide range of areas, the Cyprus problem, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the broader Middle East, multilateral cooperation networks, as well as on other regional and European issues of common interest.

During the visit, Mr. Kasoulides will be received in separate meetings by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The Foreign Minister will return to Cyprus on the night of Wednesday, January 19.
