The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ioannis Kasoulides, signed today the book of condolence, following the passing of the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, noting the following:
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, a visionary on modernizing the European Parliament, a staunch defender of European values.
Cyprus has lost a true friend, Europe has lost a true European.
I extend my sincerest condolences to his family and close friends, as well as to the entire European Parliament.”
