Press release regarding the meeting that the Minister of Foreign Affairs will have tomorrow in Nicosia with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, will hold tomorrow, Wednesday (27/10), a tete-a-tete meeting followed by consultations with delegations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf, who will pay a working visit to Cyprus, in response to an invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In the course of the consultations it is expected that, among other issues, concrete ways will be considered in which to further strengthen cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and the Gulf Cooperation Council, whilst the latest developments in the wider region and the strengthening of regional cooperation, the Council's relations with the European Union, the Cyprus problem, as well as regional and international issues of common interest, will be discussed.

At the end of their consultations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council will deliver statements to representatives of the media (exp. around 13.20).

Immediately afterwards, Messrs. Christodoulides and Al-Hajraf will attend a working luncheon, with the participation of the Ambassadors of the Member States of the Gulf Cooperation Council who are resident in Nicosia.
