The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deep sorrow for the passing of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Rolandis.

Nicos Rolandis was a personality that stood out and played a key role in the political life of Cyprus, making an important otribution to public life. He served the public interest in an exemplary manner, with integrity and sincere concern for his country from the helm of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Cyprus, a position he held during the critical years following the Turkish invasion, from 1978 to 1983.

During his long and distinguished participation in public life, Nicos Rolandis worked tirelessly, methodically and with vision, performing his duties with the highest sense of responsibility. Nicos Rolandis' legacy in the foreign policy of Cyprus is both rich and valuable.
