Regarding the additional measures announced today by the Greek authorities to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in administrative regions of Thessaloniki and Serres, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to clarify for the benefit of any Cypriot citizens affected, the following:

Irrespective of the new measures that will come into force from tomorrow Tuesday, 3/11/2020 for a period of 14 days, those who had planned/wish to return to Cyprus will still be able to travel from areas affected to other airports within the country, including Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens, in order to depart from there to Cyprus.

Cypriots who are affected are encouraged to contact their Travel Agency or airline company to plan their trip and to receive relevant information.

Kindly note that all passengers who intend to travel to Cyprus submit the necessary formalities in advance through the web portal www.cyprusflightpass.gov.cy .

Finally, given the situation with the pandemic, all Cypriot citizens who are abroad are strongly encouraged to register, in case they have not already done so, on the online platform www.connect2cy.gov.cy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Those who have already registered are asked to update their details, including their location.
