The High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in the United Kingdom is seeking an individual for one (1) full time position as Visa Support Assistant at the Consulate General in London, with a three (3) years contract, co-financed by the Border Management and Visa Instrument (BMVI) Fund. The monthly gross salary is GBP £2.116,00.
Duties and Responsibilities:• Working in the visa section of the Consulate General – receiving visa applications, advising / consulting applicants on visa applications and requirements.• Assisting with the processing of visa applications under the supervision of the Consul General.• Reviewing visa applications to ensure they are complete and required documents have been provided.• Provide visa applicants with accurate and timely information / responding to visa queries by emails and over the phone.• Input visa application data into the Visa Information System (VIS).• Conduct document verification. • Assist in conducting interviews.• Any other related duties required by the Consular Section of the High Commission.
Essential Requirements:1. Certificate of secondary education.2. Very good knowledge of the English Language.3. Very good computer skills and use of internet (including knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Office software package).4. Clear Criminal Record Certificate, issued within the preceding two-month period.5. Pre-settled Status or Settled Status Certificate or proof of British citizenship or any other citizenship with proof of the right to live and work in the UK.6. Higher education diploma and/or experience in a similar position and/or good knowledge of the Greek language will be considered as an advantage.
