Clerk Position, Cyprus Embassy in Athens

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens accepts applications for the position of Clerk, with the terms and conditions applicable to local staff.


Basic monthly salary 858 € (gross earnings)


Duties and responsibilities

(a) Performs the duties of Secretary and is in general responsible for office duties at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens.

(b) Performs any other related duties assigned to him / her in any department / sector of the Embassy by the Head of Diplomatic Mission.


Required formal qualifications

(a) High school diploma of a recognized Secondary School.

(b) Excellent knowledge of Greek and very good knowledge of English language.

(c) Ability to use computer programs (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, etc.).

(d) Character integrity, confidentiality, responsibility, initiative and ability to cooperate effectively.

(e) Clean Criminal Record Certificate.

Additional qualifications (such as academic degrees, certifications, etc.) as well as related professional experience will be taken into account.

Employment will be offered with special contract under private law, in terms of local staff, for an initial period of one year and with the right of renewal from year to year, depending on the needs of the Embassy. It is also stated that no additional benefits will be provided for this position other than those offered in the Employment Guidelines and the terms of service of local staff. The employment of the holder of the position will be under the "Instructions for the Employment and the Terms of Service of the Local Staff of the Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Cyprus Abroad".
