Following the launch of the initiative at last year’s Helsinki Marathon (2022), we are delighted to announce that team ‘Cyprus Embassy and Friends’ has been shaping up enthusiastically again this year, ready to take on the 2023 BMW Helsinki Marathon on Saturday, 19 August!
The Embassy wishes to express its gratitude to Gavrielides Foods and the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism for their sponsorship.
Team ‘Cyprus Embassy and Friends’ comprises 27 runners this year and will be represented in all routes/distances available on the day, from the 1k kids' fun run all the way up to the full marathon, covering a total distance of 309 kilometres collectively!
If you happen to be out and about in Helsinki on the day, don't forget to look out for our runners and cheer them on!

It’s all for a good cause, as we are trying through the team’s participation in the 2023 BMW Helsinki Marathon to raise money through donations for the Disaster Relief Fund of the Finnish Red Cross.
